What is the duration of the Data Engineer Internship?
The Data Engineer Internship is a 12-week paid learning experience.
What type of projects will interns work on?
Interns will work on hands-on projects, and the most recent intern researched and presented on the optimization of scheduled data processing jobs. Interns are encouraged to propose impactful projects with their assigned mentor.
What are the key responsibilities of this internship role?
Key responsibilities include understanding and modifying existing data ingestion processes, optimizing queries and overall processing, performing problem analysis and resolution, and determining the intern project.
What technologies will interns work with during this internship?
Interns will work with a range of tools including Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), Big Data Platforms (Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop), data tools (Databricks, Azure Data and Analytics services), and programming languages (Java, Scala, or Python).
Are there any educational requirements for this internship?
Yes, candidates must be actively enrolled in a degree program or be a recent graduate (within the last year). A High School Diploma or GED is also required.
Is this internship paid?
Yes, the internship is a paid position, with wages ranging from $20 to $40 per hour, based on experience and location.
Do I need to be authorized to work in the United States?
Yes, candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Are relocation reimbursements available for this internship?
Yes, relocation reimbursement may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
