Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics or Economics
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program
  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships
  • Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
  • Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, prepare and model large, complex data sets using a combination of skills, including machine learning theory, mathematics, statistics, and programming.
  • Perform data mining and statistical analyses on ad hoc business problems.
  • Define problems in mathematical terms. For example, “Why is product feature X underperforming?” and “What data on user behavior might help explain it?”

Yes, interns receive a paid learning experience, with wages ranging from $20 to $40 per hour based on experience and location.
