Responsibilities

  • Support lead publicity campaigns managed by Publicity manager as well in such ways as building media lists, media pitching, creating tour schedules, scheduling travel, writing press releases and pitch letters, preparing promotional materials for events, gathering images for media placements, and coordinating mailings (both digital and physical)
  • Independently own and manage publicity campaigns for select books
  • Research and develop new pitching lists through MuckRack, Meltwater and more
  • Assist with orchestrating social media influencer campaigns & third-party partnership outreach
  • Assist with creating and maintaining the department digital filing system, including the creation of new publicity update, marketing shell, and budget templates for future seasons
  • Generate social content both designed & lifestyle for our vibrant social media promotions
  • Copywriting for assets such as activity sheets, advertisements, branded press materials, and more
  • Administrative tasks include: processing weekly invoices for the department, maintenance of marketing and publicity budget, facilitating mailings, note-taking at meetings
