Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university
  • Minimum 1 year of school (Ideally 2 )
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering (Other engineering may be appropriate on case/case basis)
  • Interest in Battery Cells and Battery Systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to move <40 lbs. from floor to head height
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university
  • Completed at least 60 credit hours
  • Minimum of a 2.8 GPA
  • Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required
  • Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision​
  • Requisition Preferences:
  • ​Mechanical or electrical engineering degree seeking student
  • Familiarity with common hand tools and proficiency using them to perform assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis
  • Experience with procedure development
  • Experience with NASA or Aerospace Industry
  • Experience with batteries
  • Experience with written procedures and quality controls
  • Experience with CAD & 2D/3D Drawings
  • Experience with doing physical testing – assembling test hardware, destructively testing components, deconstructing and analyzing hardware post-test

Responsibilities

  • Doing physical and analytical analysis of Li-Ion battery cells
  • Assembling and Disassembling battery test units
  • Performing battery and battery cell testing
  • Analyzing Cell screening data, including out-briefing to customers
  • Maintaining Battery Cell inventory
  • Performing other duties as required
