Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Degree must be in related area of work with courses in Supply Chain management
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • What is Nice to Have:
  • Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, experience working with large volumes of data and performing quantitative analysis.
  • What Makes You Eligible:
  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024, through August 9, 2024, and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload

Responsibilities

  • Identify appropriate stock levels, safety stock, and peak stock levels across our product Business Units by using historical sales to proactively identify supply expediting or push-out opportunities
  • Assist with mitigating excess supplier purchase orders and inventory to drive supply health checks
  • Implement finished goods and spare parts inventory obsolescence tracking
  • Analyze spare parts purchasing to determine appropriate inventory levels
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Demand Planning teams to identify process improvement opportunities between demand and supply.
