Responsibilities

  • We are seeking Supply Chain intern to join our Global Parts Team. The primary role of the Supply Chain Intern is to provide administrative support to the central Material Planning Team. The student will, at the same time, gain real world experience and education in the field of Material Management and data analytics in the aftermarket Supply planning area.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with Planners and Planning Managers to assist in data collection and analysis to support improvement projects. You will also be updating ERP with promise dates provided by Suppliers and updating the planning system with feedback to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of aftermarket parts.
  • Work with Planners and Buyers to assist in supply plan recovery by identifying critical parts with shortages.
  • Review system generated alerts identifying inventory shortages and contact Suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and update ERP.
  • Assist Supply planning Manager identifying high impact parts based on sales history, seasonality and inventory level for decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on Supply chain activities.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving any supply chain issues that may impact product availability.
  • Support Supply Planning team in various ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on the status of material expedite requirement.
  • Participate in Supplier meetings, and negotiations as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedure and work instructions.
  • Learn and utilize planning tools and systems effectively to support supply chain operations.
