Requirements

Essential skills and experience:
Currently enrolled in high school with an anticipated graduation date of June 2025 or sooner.
Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and commute to and from our Chicago, IL office over a 6–8-week period.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Planning to attend a college or university in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline (i.e., Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) in Fall 2025.
Demonstrated leadership experience within school and/or the community
Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Support Intern you will assist various engineers within the Electric Grid Infrastructure Group to build or expand your background in one or more of the following areas:
Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.
Be involved in power designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major power equipment and related installation services.
Gain experience using various CAD applications
