  • Using a variety of software products, download, process, QC, and transmit survey data on preliminary, boundary, and construction surveys for pipeline projects
  • Communicate with supervisor and field crews regarding notes and data issues
  • Draft survey linework and attach object data
  • Generate TIN surfaces
  • Generate stakeout files and sketches
  • Organize daily reports and field notes
  • Assist Drafting team regarding survey questions
  • Assist Survey Department, as a whole, when needed
  • Interface with the client rep, as needed
  • Seek advice when needed
  • Strong work ethic and team-player attitude
  • Utilize creativity, foresight, and judgment in anticipating and solving technical problems
  • Display strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills
  • Follow Mott MacDonald policies, procedures, and standards

  • Drive stakes to fix survey points and determine location data to be placed on stakes
  • Measure distances using survey tape and be able to accurately read
  • Obtain data pertaining to angles, distances, elevations, and descriptions and attribute various surveying instruments
  • Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of items to be constructed
  • Perform routine analysis to check applicability, accuracy, and reasonableness of data
  • Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities
