Requirements

  • Relevant college coursework in the areas of business (finance, marketing, accounting) and/or technology (computer science, engineering, business information systems)
  • An interest in a balance of technical and business skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a confident individual who is a quick learner and self-starter.
  • Ability to write organized and detailed documents.
  • An interest in the film industry or marketing.
  • Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint proficient.
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.
  • Nice to Haves:
  • Understanding of software architecture and design or development/configuration experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Experience with Jira or other project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • The summer intern will be working on supporting active projects across the Theatrical Technology Portfolio:
  • A new project where this role assists in Business Analysis and Project Management to launch a new marketing planning and purchasing system.
  • Ad-hoc design and development initiatives across Theatrical Technology.
  • Business Analysis (assisting Lead Business Analyst):
  • Meet with key business stakeholders and develop requirements based on their needs.
  • Create detailed documentation of requirements, workflows, architecture, and testing procedures.
  • Participate/Lead testing efforts, including documentation and walkthroughs with users.
  • Create/Lead presentations to WBD Technology and Business Unit leaders.
  • Project Management (assisting Project Manager):
  • Work with Development team to implement documented requirements into business applications.
  • Prioritize requirements on behalf of the business to be implemented.
  • Work with Project team to develop cost and time estimates for development efforts.
  • Write business cases for leadership to justify priority funding of projects.
  • Tracking risks, issues, and managing mitigation plans.
