What is the main focus of the Trainee Echocardiographer role?
The main focus of the Trainee Echocardiographer role is to train in the field of echocardiography with the ultimate goal of gaining British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Accreditation in adult transthoracic echocardiography.
Where will the training take place?
Training will take place on-site at Royal Stoke Hospital, County Hospital, and the soon-to-open Community Diagnostic Centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
What type of echocardiography services does UHNM provide?
UHNM provides routine inpatient and outpatient echocardiography, as well as advanced specialist echocardiography services such as transoesophageal echo, stress echo, bubble contrast echo, and care for grown-up congenital heart disease.
Will I have a mentor during my training?
Yes, you will work with a designated mentor and follow an agreed training plan throughout your training.
Is there an opportunity to get involved in research?
Yes, there will be opportunities to participate in research and audit within the unit.
