  • - You will need to demonstrate your ability to study at degree level or above. You can train for a postgraduate or graduate certificate, depending on whether or not you already have a degree qualification
  • - Successful candidates will be expected to travel to Worcester University to complete their training

Responsibilities

  • You will be involved in the delivery of psychological interventions within a community mental health setting.
  • The role involves seeing adult patients, in person or via video link, who have been referred by GPs and other local services and providing psychological support for them in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • This will include providing the following psychological interventions:
  • behavioural activation and graded exposure using the ‘GOALS’ programme
  • problem-solving
  • improving sleep
  • recognising and managing emotions
  • confidence building
  • support with managing medicines management
  • Providing care management support, such as connecting service users with other agencies.
  • You’ll work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to promote good mental health and recovery from severe mental health problems.
