  • DHL Air UK Ltd is DPDHL’s UK airline and provides DHL Express with an intercontinental air network to achieve time definite, day definite and same day delivery options for its customers. DHL Express employs over 103,900 specialists in more than 220 countries and territories with the majority based between 3 global hubs in Leipzig, Cincinnati and Hong Kong.
  • The successful candidate will work within the airline’s Ground Operations department based at East Midlands Airport, providing analytical expertise to the business and performing data driven tasks. They will also support the department with their operational and project responsibilities.


  • You MUST be enrolled in a relevant Bachelors program and be looking to start your placement in year 2024.
  • Advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Bi and Power Apps
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Be able to work within a team with a wide range of responsibilities across various disciplines.
  • Sound practical knowledge of additional data analysis tools would be preferable.
  • Willingness to learn and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Be able to facilitate with multi-level data analysis and develop opportunities in line with company strategy.

Business, Operations & Strategy


  • Produce and maintain accurate airline statistics for periodic reports for various stakeholders.
  • Monitor and measure Avi-controllable delays and on-time performance.
  • Visualize data using digital transformation tools and present findings to various stakeholders.
  • Engage in projects and initiatives led by the responsible Manager to help drive digital transformation and continuous improvement within the airline.
  • Support Ground Operations Supervisors and the responsible Manager with supporting tasks when required.
