Responsibilities

  • Brand Partnerships:
  • Researching brands, campaigns and partnerships across all industries (tech, beauty, apparel, footwear, travel, etc.)
  • Deck building for pitches
  • Creating newsletters for our brand clients
  • Brainstorming brand partnerships ideas for our roster of artists
  • Commercial Partnerships:
  • Streaming & playlist reporting
  • Gather info for Hit List
  • Playlist updates
  • Playlist creation
  • Streaming account marketing (Spotify Artist Pick, Pandora AMP)
  • Assist team with misc. needs
  • Communications:
  • Global communications is responsible for all communication-related activities, including: PR, media relations, social media, executive thought leadership, signing announcements, advertising, branding, external events, etc.
  • Press clippings
  • Develop and maintain media lists
  • Write, edit pitches and press releases
  • Media relations (develop relationships, networking and pitching press)
  • Work with industry contacts on PR projects: A&R, management, legal, corporate communications etc.
  • Social media copy development
  • Creative:
  • The creative team works across the majority of our label's roster handling creative direction, art direction, graphic design, packaging, photography, photoshoot production, editing, animation, motion graphics, etc.
  • Single cover artwork
  • Album artwork
  • Motion graphics
  • Social media graphics
  • Creative brainstorming
  • Creative Content:
  • Interns will assist the department in the creation and delivery of creative assets, including music videos, lyric videos, cutdowns, photos, artwork, logos/fonts, marketing/promo/social materials, etc.
  • Content creation and delivery
  • Shoot prep
  • Perform content research on current trends
  • Organize and catalogue elements
  • Mail packages, and perform various administrative duties related to content production
  • Creative Strategy:
  • Light project management of creative requests in monday.com
  • Edit video and static ad assets
  • Create static and video long and short-form content for social media (both label and artists)
  • Organize creative assets in file storage systems
  • Ability to create motion graphics a plus
  • Photography/ videography (shooting and editing) skills a plus
  • Content and Influencer Strategy:
  • In the content and influencer strategy department, we help our artists curate their social calendar for upcoming posts, help edit content for artist pages and fan-pages, and curate influencer campaigns to help promote our artists music on social media.
  • Editing short form vertical content
  • Posting and managing TikTok pages
  • Ideation and content strategy for our artists
  • Researching which influencers to use in campaigns
  • Curating ideas for our artists social media
  • Comparing other artists social strategies to better our own strategy
  • Film & TV:
  • Liaise between film studios, agencies and production companies
  • Music review for soundtracks
  • Organize calendar and set up meetings
  • Provide ideas for artist features on tracks
  • Script coverage
  • Handle exec expenses
  • Organize department assets and information
  • Keep detailed and organized notes during meetings
  • Film & TV Creative Licensing:
  • Assist with weekly servicing emails highlighting new releases
  • Tagging music + maintaining asset/tracking database
  • Artist research
  • Tracking Films/TV shows slated for release in the next year
  • Assist with event planning
  • Create themed playlists and help with music searches as needed
  • Promotions:
  • Updating binders for department heads with streaming data, radio chart positions, Shazam data, etc.
  • Creating graphs and visually appealing data to showcase label singles' success
  • Run contesting along with radio stations; book travel for winners, collect compliance documents, etc.
  • Analyzing chart data and playlist reports for Spotify, Apple, etc.
  • Pulling DMA reports for label singles’ in specific regions of the USA
  • Publicity:
  • Build media lists
  • Maintain database
  • Research online opportunities that make sense for specific artists
  • Update all electronic press kits
  • Draft press releases and pitches for press campaigns
  • Clip media coverage
  • Assist with media press days
  • Attend meetings as needed
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Pitch our artists to social partners for potential playlisting opportunities.
  • Assist with video and audio snippet delivery
  • Keep track of digital and artist rollouts
  • Social sentiment reports
  • Compile artist growth data
  • TikTok/Reels/Shorts trends reports
  • Strategize new ways for artists to engage fans on social
  • Editing/proofing video content
  • Write social media copy
  • Daily reports, content ideation, and content creation
  • Marketing:
  • Assist with marketing campaign construction and rollouts
  • Ideate marketing strategy/content
  • Create and update artist timelines, marketing plans, pitch decks, one-sheets, calendars, artist decks, itineraries, etc. 
  • Research industry and consumer trends to support the development of strategic and creative campaigns.
  • Create/edit social media graphics
  • Communicate between departments on projects
  • Package and send promo materials
  • Manage day-to-day calendar invites, schedule meetings, take meeting notes
  • Consumption reports
  • Marketing/Content Creation:
  • Assist Sr. Director, Creative Audience Partnerships with various tasks relating to maintain and route creative social media and video requests, research projects related to web3, and help to track digital builds across projects.
  • Work with Audience Growth coordinator to further develop the Visual Creator Database by researching, contacting, and inputting information for potential 3rd party creative vendors.
  • Source and track competitive and ideal examples of organic social media and ad creative.
  • Execute basic social media graphic/edit requests as needed, such as social media cover images, static social media graphics, simple video cutdown edits, etc.
  • Marketing/International:
  • Write news items about upcoming releases
  • Edit articles that have been written by freelancers
  • Commission articles to be written by freelancers
  • Update various editorial calendars and spreadsheets
  • Brainstorm how to celebrate various releases across our various editorial platforms
  • Marketing/Project Management:
  • Marketing Project Management works closely and collaborates with all departments to develop fully integrated marketing plans, execute campaigns, and effectively communicate with Artist teams.
  • Support the Marketing Project Management department by contributing to campaign ideas, executing events, organizing marketing plans, and working closely with other departments and interns for company wide initiatives
  • Music Curation + Sync A&R:
  • Identify UMG international artists that can work for sync and/or wellness (streaming)
  • Identify new UMG frontline + legacy music that has potential for sync and/or wellness (streaming)
  • Curate playlists for both sync and wellness
  • Research market trends in both sync and wellness
  • Collect publishing information
  • Upload new music + tag metadata in DISCO
  • Streaming:
  • Assist with track/album pitches on a weekly basis to streaming partners
  • Assist with profile maintenance and updating across platforms
  • Assist with artist listening sessions and visits with partners
  • Assist with video description updates/tags
  • Other various tasks as needed to support the team
  • Studio:
  • Inventory checks on studio equipment
  • Assist with meetings, stage events, or playbacks
  • Equipment maintenance - keeping equipment clean and tuned
  • Assist staff on studio setups and prep
  • Assist techs on repairs and troubleshooting
