Requirements

  • You'll be on track for a 2:1 or above in your degree (ideally STEM, however we do consider all degree backgrounds) and be in your penultimate year of University
  • You will need to be eligible to complete a 12 month placement as part of your degree course
  • Authorised to work in the UK for the duration of your placement year

Responsibilities

  • As a Software Developer Intern, you'll get involved in virtually every stage of developing new solutions or supporting and improving existing ones.
  • Using your problem solving skills, you will work in teams alongside other developers, engineers and industry experts, providing innovative and creative solutions to a wide selections of businesses, helping to solve complex problems for our customers.
  • We love the fresh ideas and perspectives that our interns bring to the table.
  • We value learning and development so you will also be encouraged to join various projects outside of your day job such as hackathons etc, to help grow your network and build your skills and experience resulting in a successful and rewarding placement year.

What is the duration of the internship?

The internship will run for 12 months, from 9th July 2025 to 8th July 2026.

Where is the placement located?

The placement is based onsite at our Hursley Labs Campus near Winchester, Hampshire.

What languages should I have experience in for this role?

You should have some experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Javascript, C/C++, or Golang, whether self-taught or through work experience.

What academic qualifications do I need to apply?

You should be on track for a 2:1 or above in your degree (ideally in a STEM field, although all degree backgrounds are considered) and in your penultimate year of University.

Is this internship suitable for all degree backgrounds?

Yes, while we ideally look for candidates from a STEM background, we do consider all degree backgrounds.

Will I receive mentorship during the internship?

Yes, you will have access to a buddy for support throughout the program, and there are opportunities for mentorship from your Early Professional Development Manager (EPDM), line manager, and team members.

Do I need to be authorized to work in the UK?

Yes, you must be authorized to work in the UK for the duration of your placement year.
