  • This internship will be located in the LA area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager‚Äôs in office schedule. 
  • Warner Bros Animation Casting Department oversees casting, scheduling and payroll for all animation pilots and series. The internship role is to learn about how the casting department runs and the various workings of what casting handles. You will learn how to make a breakdown, how casting decisions are make and get an overview how how scheduling is handled. The Casting Department is unique in that it's a very creative role as well as very detail oriented role. The Casting Department is involved in every production and works closely with all other lines of business in an effort to deliver the best talent and make our projects hits.

What to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

Program date options: 

  • Option 1: June 3rd ‚Äď August 16th  
  • Option 2: June 10th ‚Äď August 23rd 
  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.   
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

  • Experience working in Box preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self started and eager to learn
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior Graduate Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

  • Learning how to make a breakdown for casting.
  • Providing administrative support to the Casting Manager, including document creation and editing, digital organizational tasks, database input, and occasional communication with agents and industry professionals.
  • Learning how to schedule actors for recording sessions.
  • Learning about payroll and helping file auditions.
  • Engaging in events including executive speaker sessions, professional development workshops, and more.
  • Learning about the overall casting process and how actors are chosen.
