Requirements

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Pursuing an advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in urban planning, policy, engineering, or another related field
  • Functional experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior internship or professional experience in a similar role
  • Interest in a career in resilience planning, or policy
  • Experience using ArcGIS
  • Experience preparing public-facing technical and planning reports

Responsibilities

  • As a Resilience Technical Intern, you will collaborate with our experienced water professionals, to support the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical, communications, and project management capabilities.
  • Your responsibilities will include supporting development of resilience and risk mitigation assessments and planning and conceptual design for utilities, municipalities, and private clients. You will be involved in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials, and participating in client meetings as well as assisting development of grant applications and support project management efforts (i.e. project scopes, client deliverables, etc.)
  • In summary, an ideal candidate for the position would work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally and work on multiple concurrent projects with multiple deadlines, ensuring completion per project budgets and timelines.
