Requirements

  • Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Understanding of electrical principles
  • Knowledge of computer, power and communications theory
  • Experience reading and creating construction drawings
  • Understanding of low voltage systems integration
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to present technical concepts in a manner understandable by non-technical individuals
  • Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Active membership in a professional engineering organization
  • Education:
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or graduated within 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Additional Information:
  • This internship is located in Glendale, CA
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June through August/September 2024
  • Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Glendale, CA area
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work

Responsibilities

  • While working under the guidance of a more senior department team member on specific assignments you will have the opportunity to:
  • Define telecommunications and low voltage systems requirements
  • Review telecommunications and low voltage systems specifications and standards
  • Produce telecommunications and low voltage systems designs as required
  • Support mock-ups and proof of concepts as needed
  • Support field installation of all systems within scope of work
  • Develop designs that provide telecommunications and other low voltage systems as required for the operation of the facility
  • Develop, coordinate and maintain various telecommunications equipment inventories
