Requirements

  • Must be a current University of Utah student.
  • Preferences:
  • Demonstrated leadership in work and/or academics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the organization including senior level leaders.
  • Proficiency in HTML , CSS , JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with web and mobile design.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and think creative and strategically.
  • Ability to analyze and problem solving.
  • Preference will be given to students with related technical coursework and/or professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Teams meetings to learn about, analyze and estimate upcoming changes.
  • Apply modern and structured programming techniques that adhere to our coding standards.
  • Debug and take ownership of previously written code.
  • Managing and implementing designs created by our graphic design team
  • Content creation and optimization for both existing and new content
  • Design, recommend and pitch improvements to new and existing features.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.
  • Update and edit website content, posts and pages.
  • Provide technical support related to web-based systems to internal teams.
  • Test and give feedback on new and existing technologies.
  • Create prototypes and experiment with new technologies and features as assigned
