Requirements

  • A curiosity about pursuing a career in television/multi-media field
  • Proficient in video editing using Adobe Premier
  • Proficient in shooting video footage using Cannon/Nikon DSLR cameras
  • Strong, ongoing knowledge of long-form TV & video production
  • Social media proficiency.
  • Good news judgment and effective communication skills
  • Ability & flexibility to manage & prioritize multiple assignments in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Has attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Prior experience working in an office setting, including answering emails
  • Experience in community engagement, corporate citizenship & social responsibility, event planning, urban development, or social media/branding a plus.
  • Prior TV or Video production internship
  • Major or previous coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related major
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
  • Fully available to work for the duration of the internship, 20 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Philadelphia, PA. area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, prep and execution of the station’s campaigns, initiatives and events
  • Assist with the station’s LIVE and taped long-form productions
  • Create social media and digital content
  • Write PSAs & digital copy for the website
  • Attend community engagement meetings (virtual & in-person)
  • Coordinate outreach with the 6abc community and corporate partners (schedule meetings, zoom calls etc... etc.)
  • Connecting with community-based non-profit organizations, and the communities that 6abc serves and supports
