Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high quality digital photographic screening service for patients with diabetes within Lothian across a variety of sites.
  • They must be able to work on their own initiative within set protocols, be able to prioritise workload and work well under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • They must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as a degree of flexibility.
  • Following extensive training the successful applicant will perform primary grading of images, for which they will need the ability to concentrate and have good pattern recognition skills.
  • They will also be expected to participate in ongoing training and accreditation in line with national standards.
