Requirements

  • To perform this job efficiently, a you are able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma or General education degree (GED) required with one to two years of related experience and training.
  • OR an Associate's with focus on Business or Finance administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations. Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Financial software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period.
  • Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions.
  • Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports.
  • Communicates unresolved vendor/invoice issues and reporting to the appropriate Accountant and/or Supervisor.
  • May assist in the preparation of annual regulatory reporting.
