What are the main responsibilities of the Advanced Pharmacist - HIV?
The main responsibilities include leading, developing, delivering, and evaluating a specialist Clinical Pharmacy service for HIV patients, providing expert advice on pharmaceutical issues within the field, managing the provision of HIV medication via Homecare, and being an active member of the multidisciplinary team.
What qualifications are required for this role?
Applicants must be registered pharmacists with the GPhC, possess a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy, and have relevant experience in clinical pharmacy services.
What kind of experience is necessary for applicants?
Applicants should have knowledge of therapeutics and medicine use, experience in audit and risk management, and effective communication skills with a wide range of staff.
What is the breakdown of time spent in clinical service?
Approximately 60% of the time will be spent providing a clinical service to HIV/sexual health clinics, while 40% will be dedicated to providing a clinical service to the wards within the Trust.
Are there any on-call or weekend duties associated with this role?
Yes, the role includes on-call duties and participation in weekend working as the Trust develops its seven-day service.
