Responsibilities

  • The Analyst will work as part of the Investment Team, reporting to Katerina Williams. Key responsibilities will include underwriting real estate investment opportunities, market and deal research and supporting senior investment team members on transaction, business plan analysis, and strategy.
  • Financial analysis of a wide range of real estate investments, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing and tax assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc., as well as research to support key underwriting assumptions
  • Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational benchmarking
  • Preparation of documents for internal and external purposes, including writing investment committee memos
  • Ability to work well within a small, relatively flat team, coordinating directly with senior team members and external advisors, allowing broad exposure to deals at an early stage
  • Ability to work closely with internal teams including asset management, development, ESG, and corporate functions, and global offices, notably headquarters in Toronto office
