Responsibilities

  • Providing administration support as directed by the Principal Medical Officer (PMO)/ Business Support Manager (BSM). Supporting the outputs of the combined West of Scotland practice (HMS Neptune and Kentigern House Medical Centres) delivering safe, effective patient care and business outputs across both sites, in line with the DPHC mission, DPHC priorities and PMO priorities.
  • Organising authorised travel arrangements as required, including transport and hotel bookings.
  • Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures. Some analytical work may also be required in the form of requests for searches and data gathering for certain projects.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Hospital Appointments department by assisting with the process of referrals to Civilian Hospitals and Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit (MDHU) Host Trusts, initiating and compiling all necessary paperwork.
  • Contribute to effective liaison with internal agencies i.e. other medical facilities and other organisations involved in the provision of medical care.
