Requirements

  • You are a qualified Solicitor NQ – 4 PQE, however, no specialist ABL or Trade Finance knowledge is required.
  • Experience in any Receivables or Structured Finance, General Banking and Finance and/or Restructuring is advantageous.
  • A real and genuine interest in this area and be keen to grow that knowledge in a proactive way.
  • Adept at in building and nurturing strong client relationships, as well as with internal stakeholders.
  • A keen intellect and a commercial mindset. Ability to demonstrate the provision of pragmatic and tailored advice in a way that supports internal and external clients alike.
  • The ability to actively support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.
  • Be inquisitive and want to understand our clients, their drivers, and what matters to them, so that your advice has quality, imagination, and impact.

Responsibilities

  • - Act for a number of FTSE 100 and local clients supporting a variety of asset-based lending work.
  • - Ensure transaction delivery, client relationship development and the continued expansion of the team and practice.
  • - Play a significant role in working for clients that are key to the Group and to the firm.
  • - Undertake client secondments to assist clients and to build skills and expertise further.
  • - Work in one of the leading teams in a specialist market.
  • - Engage in a mix of Lender and borrower work.
  • - Perform a client facing role with extensive support and training as part of an established team.
  • - Collaborate with team members drawn throughout the firm for well-known clients on high profile deals.
  • - Involve in the formulation of new marketing strategies and materials.
  • - Take responsibility for business development engaging directly with client contacts at networking events and by providing training.
  • - Engage in continuous self-development and participate in formal training programmes.
  • - Follow market leading Associate and Managing Associate development programmes to map out key objectives for career progression and to have frequent check-ins with a mentor.

Benefits

  • Life Assurance

    The firm provides life insurance of four times salary. This is automatically arranged for you from your start date but you may wish to consider completing an Expression of Wish form when joining the firm. Cover up to age 75 and maybe subject to underwriting.

To meet the auto enrolment legislation all employees will be assessed for membership in the first month in which a salary is paid, and subject to meeting the requirements, membership will be deferred for 3 months.
