Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding and compassionate leadership to a team of around 30 colleagues, setting clear and stretching objectives and nurturing their professional development.
  • Oversee delivery of our Data and Innovation Strategies – encompassing complex transformation across multiple projects in parallel
  • Maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders up to Board level
  • Manage day-to-day operational services for data and innovation, ensuring that critical services and regular outputs are produced on-time with sufficient resilience and scalability
  • Guide the development of new data and innovation solutions using leading technologies
  • Uphold data quality and assurance for the Trust by building and deploying a governance framework
  • Enhance data literacy across the Trust and South West region, ensuring a single version of truth and enabling users to achieve maximum benefit for our solutions
  • Actively contribute to regional and national initiatives through integration, interoperability and sharing of critical data between NHS organisations, while ensuring the security and governance of our patient’s data
  • Drive thought-leadership in the use of new, innovative technologies and solutions including Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation and Machine Learning
