Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the Corporate Communications Leader for Verizon Business to develop and execute a comprehensive employee engagement strategy that compliments the overall communications approach, driving company priorities, business unit’s goals, and initiatives.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to deepen employees' pride and sense of belonging - a key ingredient of driving customer experiences through great employee experiences - and empowering employees to act as brand ambassadors and advocate for Verizon as an Employer of Choice.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including business unit’s leadership, operational support, and internal partners (Corporate Communications, Human Resources, etc.), to create and deliver segmented and targeted communications to diverse global Verizon Business internal audiences.
  • Partnering with stakeholders on developing end-to-end communications plans for large cross-functional projects, planning and delivering virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.
  • Engage internal stakeholders in creating a fresh, personalized, innovative employee experience by leveraging new technologies and tools to enhance engagement.
  • Use data-driven insights, including pulse surveys and feedback, to monitor and measure the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives, identify engagement trends and opportunities, and make decisions on how to best optimize how we reach employees with the right message at the right time and through the right platforms.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the executive team, ensuring a consistent and effective leadership message internally.
  • Develop written content to support employee engagement needs, from internal communications for business transformation projects to articles highlighting the Verizon Business brand to employees.
  • Lead a high-performing employee engagement team, fostering a culture of trust, care, and excellence and building the team’s reputation as a strategic advisor in the business.
