  • The ability to take a key role supporting complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed as well as within the IE team.
  • The ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group (whether that be to training, precedents, or know-how generally).
  • Strong commercial awareness – but most importantly a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in infrastructure, energy and transport.
  • High standard of client care.
  • The enthusiasm to market to clients.
  • Knowledge of key areas of the law by providing clear, precise, practical advice.

Responsibilities

  • With support from the team, you will take responsibility for drafting and negotiating commercial documents, managing transaction processes and potentially joint-venture and corporate documents in the context principally of energy and transport
  • Strongly encouraged to take responsibility for business development both engaging directly with client contacts at networking events and by providing training.
  • Continuous self-development is valued, and you will be encouraged to engage with formal training programmes (whether technical or skills based) and to draw on mentoring, coaching and leadership development programmes available to you.

  • Life Assurance

    The firm provides life insurance of four times salary. This is automatically arranged for you from your start date but you may wish to consider completing an Expression of Wish form when joining the firm. Cover up to age 75 and maybe subject to underwriting.
