Requirements

  • You have attained relevant education. Please include a writing sample along with your cover letter, resume and transcripts (if a recent graduate). Preference is given to candidates who possess an MBA, CFA, CPA and an undergraduate degree in Finance or business-related discipline. Candidates who possess data analysis/compilation and programming skills would be an asset.
  • You can demonstrate direct industry Experience. Experience conducting financial analysis of companies and economics. Previous capital markets experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of, or work experience in the Real Estate industry is an asset. A strong background in accounting and finance is a preference.
  • You are technically savvy. Excellent knowledge of PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote). .

Responsibilities

  • Research - As Research Associate they will work closely with Research Analyst covering Real Estate sector, which involves industry and company analysis. The Associates will learn and develop a depth of knowledge about financial analysis, covered industries and capital markets. In the role, they will build financial models and forecasts as well as harness a variety data sets to support investment recommendations and valuation analysis. They will gain valuable experience in writing detailed research reports and presentations to provide actionable insights to support investment decision-making for internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, will have a strong attention to detail, and will be very excel-proficient and financial-statement-literate.
  • Client Focus. In cooperation with the Research Analysts they will participate in regular calls with public companies to get direct data from the senior management teams, as well as ad hoc calls, meetings and industry events. The position also provides the opportunity to liaise with our Sales, Trading, Investment Banking colleagues and clients as required.
