  • Eight (8) or more years of senior leadership experience.
  • Direct experience related to regulatory oversight.
  • Direct experience in leading a new work unit, organization, or business area.
  • Experience leading complex and sensitive investigations and implementing an appropriate course of action (e.g., issuing recommendations).
  • Experience building true partnerships with Indigenous peoples in support of reconciliation and the implementation of the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Responsibilities

  • - Provide strong leadership for the staff of the Superintendent’s Office in all areas of work, including conducting oversight activities into regulatory colleges (audits, investigations, reviews), as well as board appointments and designation assessments.
  • - Directly supervise four Director level staff members and be responsible for all operational activities of the Office.
  • - Provide vital support to the Superintendent in setting the strategic vision for the Superintendent’s Office and act in their place if absent.
  • - Establish an oversight body which will improve health professional governance standards, and protect the public from harm.
