Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' demonstrable experience of both business development and client relationship management within the education sector.
  • Be able to communicate fluently in Arabic and English, with excellent verbal, and written skills.
  • Be based in the region and be willing to spend a significant amount of time travelling within the MENA region.
  • Have demonstrable experience of directly communicating with and influencing senior personnel within Ministries of Education and local and regional government officials.
  • Have demonstrable experience in presenting technical solutions to prospective clients.
  • Have a Bachelors degree

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build strategic relationships with Ministries of Education across the MENA region, leveraging PAS solutions to meet government educational strategies and outcomes.
  • Responsible for driving PAS revenue across the Middle East and North Africa by helping to establish and grow partnerships with key institutions in region.
  • Determine regional strategies and develop a business plan for implementing these strategies.
  • Stay abreast of issues impacting the educational industry and factors influencing the market environments across the Middle East; understand the local context in order to inform strategic priorities and key opportunities.
  • Proactively seek out and qualify new business opportunities that align with PAS capabilities.
  • Ensure early liaison with PAS Bid Management and Programme Management personnel to qualify opportunities, leading to the provision of compelling and timely RFTs/proposals.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the International Government Relations team and other colleagues (from across Pearson and external partners) to:
  • leverage existing networks and relationships already established
  • ensure alignment and effective communication and support for existing and prospective customers across the MENA region.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PAS solutions and capabilities.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs and financial measurements set by the company.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers to showcase evolving PAS capabilities.
  • Consider opportunities for value add, considering Pearson products and services across the organisation.
  • Participate in demand generation activities such as conferences, trade events and exhibitions as required.
