What is the location of the Buyer/Planner I position?
The Buyer/Planner I position is based at our Chakan, Maharashtra facility.
What educational background is preferred for this role?
A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering is required, and a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
What types of experience are preferred for this role?
Experience in vendor management, procurement for manufacturing or project-based sourcing, and a proven track record in a similar role are preferred, ideally with 5 years’ relevant procurement/sourcing experience in an EMS/Electronics manufacturing environment.
What specific skills are necessary for this position?
A solid understanding of buying strategies, supply chain processes, inventory management, excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency in SAP systems are necessary for this position.
Will I be involved in New Product Development?
Yes, you will actively participate in New Product Development & Introduction (NPDI) teams to help secure materials and vendor contracts.
Is prior experience with ERP systems required?
Familiarity with ERP operating systems like SAP is necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office.
What responsibilities are included in the role?
Responsibilities include handling the Procurement to Pay (P2P) process, negotiating pricing and supply contracts, managing vendor relationships, collaborating for inventory management, and ensuring alignment of material deliveries with customer expectations.
