Responsibilities

  • Produce UGC systems design studies under guidance to support construction and consultancy projects including: Cable System Design Summary reports, Cable Rating reports, Cable Bonding scheme and Induced Voltage calculations; Cable Forces calculations in different installations and operation scenarios, Cable Sizing calculations; Cable Pulling design and calculations, Cable Installation Design and review of drawings
  • Select materials and accessories and produce the Bill of Quantities for the project and tenders
  • Coordinate with suppliers, review of products designs and type test certificates, and support procurement team for technical aspects
  • Interface with other Wood teams (such as OHL, Substations and Protection teams) and different parties on the project
  • Support the Operations team during construction period
  • Duties may vary due to level of candidate expertise, responsibility, and ongoing work requirements
