Responsibilities

  • Embedding sustainable changes in operational and clinical pathways within the CAMHS Urgent and Emergency Care pathway by influencing and supporting clinical teams to define and adopt best practice pathways.
  • Using data and analysis to support pathway definition and measurement. Where applicable working in partnership with other clinical services to achieve seamless care for patients.
  • Coordinating the development and delivery of projects to address the CAMHS Directorate’s financial sustainability objectives, around the productivity opportunities of new ways of working and administrative process improvement.
  • Supporting the development of additional capacity, through both investment and efficiency, to address additional demands for CAMHS Urgent and Emergency care mental health services.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Trust’s Right Care Programme with focus on the crisis pathway.
  • To support services in identifying and managing internal and external/organisational delays to discharge, in order to contribute to the reduction in length of stay and improve patient flow in the ED.
  • To actively pursue actions relation to patients who are delayed discharges in the Emergency Department, working work collaboratively with all CAMHS Emergency Department Liaison teams, CAMHS Emergency Care teams, and the wider system that sits around the child or young person.
  • To line manage the Integrated CYP Mental Health Practice Development Lead and Practitioner.
