What is the duration of the contract for this Clinical Technologist position?
The position is a fixed-term contract lasting 9 months to cover the temporary absence of an engineer.

Yes, the postholder will be required to accept a 7-day working week system.

Ideally, candidates should be on the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists and have a BEng/BSc in Engineering or Physical Science, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

The postholder will be offered in-house and formal manufacturers’ training courses as part of their career development.
What types of medical equipment will the Clinical Technologist be working with?
The postholder will work with a wide range of medical equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, non-routine repairs, calibration, and safety testing.
Who will the Clinical Technologist need to liaise with?
The postholder will liaise with both clinical and technical staff to identify faults and repair equipment, as well as working with manufacturers as appropriate.
