What is the role of a Community Learning Disability Support Worker?

Where will I be working as a Community Learning Disability Support Worker?
You will work flexibly in a range of settings within the Community Learning Disability Team, primarily across two bases in Macclesfield and Crewe.
Are there opportunities for professional development?
Yes, there will be opportunities for continued professional development, including training on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Trauma-Informed Care.
What type of work will I be doing?
You will undertake short-term, focused work aimed at preventing service users from going into crisis and being admitted to the hospital.
Will I be required to travel?
Yes, there will be an expectation that you will travel to work with people across the Trust's footprint and out-of-area placements.
What is the pay structure for this position?
CWP has adopted the Living Wage, and where the standard Agenda for Change hourly rate is below the Living Wage, pay will be supplemented to meet that level.
