The job is located at The Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne.
Is the Occupational Therapist position full-time?
Yes, the Occupational Therapist role is currently a full-time position, but part-time applicants with a minimum of 30 hours are also welcome.
What types of patient cases will I handle in this role?
You will provide Occupational Therapy for a range of physical presentations such as orthopaedics, frailty, falls, neurology, cognitive impairment, and more.
Are there flexible working options available?
Yes, there is flexibility around shift patterns to support a family-friendly working environment, including options for compressed hours or part-time hours spread over weekdays.
Will I be required to work weekends?
Yes, you will be required to work with the rest of the team on occasions to provide cover across the 7 days on a rota basis.
What experience is required for this position?
You should have knowledge and experience in moving and handling, using a range of equipment, carrying out cognitive assessments, and working with older individuals, particularly those with frailty.
Will I have the opportunity to mentor others in this role?
Yes, you will provide supervision, mentorship, training, and clinical support to students and trained practitioners.
