Yes, an honorary contract with Manchester Foundation Trust can be arranged for limited involvement with the regional immunology laboratory.
What will the Consultant Immunologist be expected to participate in regarding patient care?
The Consultant Immunologist will participate in maintaining and developing allergy and immunology services, managing and triaging referrals, and advising on the care of inpatients.
Will the postholder conduct patient clinics?
Yes, the postholder will conduct weekly clinics for the investigation and management of immunodeficiency and allergy in adults.
Are there any specific training responsibilities associated with this role?
Yes, the Consultant Immunologist will supervise and support the specialist nursing team and participate in training nurses, immunology trainees, and undergraduate medical students.
Is there a requirement for continuing medical education?
Yes, the postholder is expected to maintain continuing medical education to the requirements of the relevant Royal College(s) and participate in relevant CPD activities.
