Responsibilities

  • Assessing complex liability risks with a focus on Life Science and Pharma, including guiding and supporting (as a sparring partner) management of these risks, depending on the cover provided (single risks, risk categories, or portfolios/treaties)
  • Evaluating cedents’ risk-management activities (risk selection, pricing, risk assessment) also by participating in reviews
  • Monitoring and screening developments in the Life Science area to detect and report on interesting trends and emerging risks (internally and externally)
  • Constantly improving and adapting the services (or creating new services) in line with client needs or a changing environment (technical, legal)
  • Providing internal and external training, participating in publications and workgroups
  • Speaking/presenting at international seminars, meetings, and congresses, conveying Munich Re’s distinct expertise
  • Developing and maintaining information sources, and collecting relevant data for knowledge-management purposes
