Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the day to day running of projects, managing business and client needs, whilst working within a set timeframe and managing budgets to adhere to contract requirements. Creating clear and robust project plans and documentation packs to be rolled out across site managers and field teams, monitoring overall project performance and financials, as well as ensuring safety compliance on the full project lifecycle. Representing Ground Control with clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, building strong rapport.
  • Team management: Oversee and support direct staff and field teams to meet the requirements of the project, ensuring full inductions and oversight of job requirements have been outlined before works commence.
  • Maintain regular communications with the team and site managers to monitor project progress.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support direct reports to progress within their roles, providing development opportunities, training, and mentoring to increase the skillset of the workforce. Managing performance effectively to meet requirements of the different roles within the team.
  • Onboarding: Responsible for sourcing and onboarding field teams, managing skills and compliance accordingly with project and business requirements. Working closely with FT onboarding to meet all compliance needs.
  • Project resourcing: Evaluate field teams skillsets and capabilities, assigning best fit to project works. Working with procurement to ensure all resources are sourced and available to complete tasks, working to project plan and timeframe.
  • Stakeholder management: Main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs, provide business updates, and build relationships. Working with them on developing future business plans.
  • Project management: Manage the full lifecycle of multiple projects at any one time, producing full documentation packs for projects, conducting planning works, and phase plans to manage requirements of the project effectively.
  • Project scope: Overseeing regional projects up to value of £1m, within designated timeframes and requirements.
  • Financial management: Responsible for managing small project budgets throughout project duration, working within set margins. Negotiating costs and monitoring spend, providing financial overview to senior leaders and practicing risk management.
  • Compliance, health and safety: Maintain field team and direct staff compliance, on site H&S, conducting site audits, inspections, and risk assessments for safe working practices. Working closely with HSQE to meet both internal and industry standards. Completing robust reports for clients covering business updates.
  • Business Development: Identify and act on business development opportunities, scoping out and tendering submissions for works.
