Requirements

  • Qualified to practice in England and Wales.
  • 4+ years PQE with relevant experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts and a proven understanding with respect to commercial contracting, in each case particularly in the context of SaaS transactions.
  • Experience as part of an in-house legal department for a fast paced, high growth software/SaaS company strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and other European and global security and privacy laws, and data security and privacy best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of UK commercial and contractual law
  • Experience with UK and/or Polish employment laws and regulations is a plus, but is not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Documented history of ability to balance the needs of multiple initiatives and competing demands.
  • Collaborative work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented/open environment.

Responsibilities

  • WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:
  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique.
  • Learn and understand the Salesloft legal team’s position on various topics relevant to contracts and business operations.
  • Negotiate and draft procurement contracts for goods, events, software / SaaS, and services.
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and familiarize yourself with the legal teams processes and systems.
  • Meet key partners in Revenue, Information Security, Finance and Corporate Services, Technology, Product, Marketing, etc., as they will be key relationships for you throughout your career here at Salesloft.
  • WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:
  • Work directly with the Revenue team to negotiate and draft sales-side Master Subscription Agreements, Data Processing Addendums, Statements of Work, and Order Forms.
  • WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:
  • Start to undertake other Salesloft legal team initiatives, such as process improvement or internal policy implementation, particularly with respect to Salesloft’s operations in EMEA, in addition to managing contracts.
  • WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:
  • Be considered a subject matter expert in what it takes to get both sales and procurement transactions done at Salesloft.
  • Exercise your legal and professional judgment to help expand and scale the legal function at Salesloft.
