Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive Business and Industry Partnership recruitment, activity, and engagement plan.
  • Successfully match career trained, industry-certified students seeking employment after high school with a job or paid internship with hiring partners.
  • Initiate targeted outreach and secure strategic partnerships with businesses, industry, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, military, Texas Workforce Commission, Workforce Solutions centers, and community organizations that provide internship and employment opportunities for Texas virtual students;
  • Maintain an active Business Advisory Board that meets regularly; gather actionable feedback from all stakeholders.
  • Organize engaging events (virtual and in-person) to foster connections between students and hiring partners.
  • Utilize client management databases to track partnerships, student preparedness/certification, student interviews/applications and real-time employment statuses.
  • Publicize partnership resources for students.
  • Capture and share partnership success stories in collaboration with the Marketing team to enhance brand and partner relations.
  • Frequently review partnership health and engagement.
  • Coordinate career awareness, exploration, preparation activities in classroom, groups, or individual sessions; Engage in coaching, mentoring, and staff development activities to enrich career development for students;
  • Work as a team to ensure full state compliance with the Work-Based Learning Framework provided by the Texas Education Agency, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Texas Workforce Commission;
  • Stay current on all state and federal required mandates associated with CTE program, attending state trainings on program changes;
  • Assist Sr. Manager with the setting of goals for CRE programs and Work-Based Learning initiatives;
  • Monitor key metrics related to partner engagement and job placements, with goals to improve through data-driven strategies; Provide regular reporting to local, state, and national leadership on progress towards performance goals.
