Requirements

  • - Data Analyst required for growing sustainable energy consultancy based in the heart of Brighton, £24000-£26000.
  • - Would suit someone with a couple of years' experience, ideally graduate (or equivalent) that is passionate about sustainability and wants a company that will offer ongoing training and support.
  • - This is a full-time role, hybrid working (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in office) joining a small, friendly team.
  • - At least 2-3 years of demonstrable experience working in a comparable B2B environment handling large volumes of complex data and interacting with clients.
  • - Ideal candidates will possess a numerical degree (or equivalent), with strong Maths ability, advanced Excel to include pivot tables, formulae and VLOOKUP's and an analytical mind and strong attention to detail.
  • - Through this experience the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key skills.
  • - Excellent analytical skills and proven advanced Microsoft excel skills (will be tested as part of the interview process).
  • - Strong attention to detail combined with an enquiring mind.
  • - Previous experience within an energy procurement organisation would be of interest but is not required as full training will be provided.
  • - Customer-focused and commercially savvy.
  • - Analytical mindset with high level of attention to detail.
  • - Effective in building and managing client relationships with mid-market customers.
  • - Collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • - Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • - Good organisational and communication skills including use of English, spelling, and grammar.
  • - Confident personality - able to discuss issues with both suppliers and clients.

Responsibilities

  • - Responsible for collation and evaluation of energy data from various client premises.
  • - Support one Account Managers in delivering an exceptional level of service to clients.
  • - Gather data from various sources on client's energy usage.
  • - Analyse the data.
  • - Create benchmarks.
  • - Run standard and custom reports within energy management system.
  • - Investigate anomalies.
  • - Write reports on consumption performance.
  • - Liaise with other internal teams on potential next steps.
  • - Collate invoices - paper and electronic.
  • - Invoice analysis.
  • - Investigate anomalies, liaise with suppliers.
  • - Prepare budgets.
  • - Prepare invoice validation summary reports.
  • - Meter management.
  • - Deal with new sites opening and closing in relation to correct billing.
  • - Change of Tenancy.
