Responsibilities

  • Responsible for data collection and processing for core lines of business and will collaborate with various data scientists, instrumentation experts, and engineering teams to identify requirements that will derive the creation of data pipelines.
  • Design and implement scalable, extensible, and highly available data pipelines on large volume data sets, enabling actionable insights, strategy, and ML workloads for the organization.
  • Responsible for leading a team of external data and analytics engineers to ensure best-in-class processes and deliverables supporting your Data Science, Insight, & Strategy partner organization across the entire data journey from Descriptive to Predictive with key responsibilities for pipeline creation, reporting, and data visualization across the commercial business.
  • Provide coverage on ad-hoc data and analysis from diverse partners and automate those needs over time.
  • Document and implement best dbt practices. Conduct code reviews and highlight opportunities to use advanced dbt features (macros, incremental jobs, etc.) to keep code clean and readable.
  • Drive requirements for data infrastructure and engineering teams to build data integrations, robust tools, and infrastructure.
  • Convert requirements into Jira stories and provide milestones.
  • Enable a culture of innovation by staying up to date with the latest Analytics Engineering trends/emerging technologies and looking for opportunities to improve the data tech stack.
