What is the primary role of a Data Quality Assurance Specialist?
The primary role is to support the Data Quality Assurance Manager and DQ leads in improving data quality and information systems by identifying Data Quality issues and developing solutions in collaboration with users and system administrators.
What skills are required for this position?
The ideal candidate should have attention to detail, strong analytical skills, experience with Trust information software, and the capability to focus on complex tasks for extended periods.
What types of systems will I be working with?
You will work with key Trust information systems, the Data Warehouse, and the Data Lake, along with various operational and technical systems used across the Trust.
What kind of reporting will I be required to do?
You will need to create additional reporting on Data Quality issues in Excel and Power BI, as well as detailed assurance reports for escalation through internal governance processes.
Who will I be collaborating with in this role?
You will work collaboratively with various teams across different directorates, including technical and non-technical disciplines, operational and non-operational staff within the organization.
Is prior experience in the NHS required for this position?
Yes, the role would suit individuals with experience in relevant Trust roles and familiarity with the NHS.
What tools and technologies should I be familiar with?
Familiarity with SQL for creating queries, as well as experience with Excel and Power BI for reporting, is essential.
