Requirements

  • To provide a comprehensive clerical and administrative service for the Haematology Day Care Unit to help ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, working in close collaboration with Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and Service management.
  • To input and maintain up to date information on ICT systems for patients using the Haematology service as required.
  • Scheduling patient’s treatments and diagnostics procedures being carried out in the Haematology day Care unit in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Communicating as required with external agencies, staff, multidisciplinary teams, patients and relatives regarding appointments, admissions, meetings and coordinating services to ensure efficiency of service delivery.
  • Admitting Haematology patients for day care TCI to the bed board on Cerner as well as discharging/ transferring them in real time.
  • To answer all phone enquiries from patients and clinical teams around upcoming attendances.
