Responsibilities

  • Facilitate analysis, understanding and interpretation of the SSE, its application and development in terms of Support Requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to DTs enabling them to conduct self-assurance against the Defence Support policies.
  • Conduct assurance determining effectiveness, compliance & coherence in Support Solutions, providing assessments, identifying Defence issues and risks.
  • Facilitate engagement between DTs and Support Assurance SMEs during the equipment life cycle to encourage improvement and good practice.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for those CCTs and CDAs as per the SSE, especially that concerning Integrated Logistic Support organisation, planning and arrangements.
  • Produce Support Solution Reports providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform 3* endorsement bodies in making endorsement decisions.
  • Produce In-Service Support Reviews providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform FLCs.
  • Undertake line management, mentoring and countersigning tasks as required by the role. This role has 1 direct reports. Manage and mentor designated HEO grade SSOs within the team.
