What type of cases will I be handling as a Dietitian at Royal Derby Hospital?
You will handle cases including respiratory, trauma and orthopaedics, neurology, surgery (gastrointestinal, vascular, gynaecology ultra-radical, complex urology), cardiology, general medicine, and endocrinology.

What kind of support will I receive in this role?
You will be supported by dietetic assistants, specialist dietitians, team leaders, and a clerical team as part of a large Dietetic department.

No, you may be newly qualified, have some experience, or even be due to qualify for this position.
What types of patients will I be working with?
You will be working with in-patients on a face-to-face basis, including those from various specialties such as trauma and orthopaedics, neurology, and general medicine.
Will there be opportunities to work with students?
Yes, we are active in delivering dietetic student training from Sheffield, Nottingham, and more recently, apprenticeships.
What additional roles may I participate in outside of direct patient care?
You may participate in general clinics, telephone reviews, advice to relatives/caregivers, group talks to patients, hospital staff education, and local social media work.
