Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working in communications with a background in journalism, media and social
  • Experience successfully managing direct reports and/or a team
  • A proactive storyteller who initiates creative ideas and identifies opportunities that support the overall corporate strategy and goals
  • Performance-driven communicator with thorough knowledge of digital platforms (web, social, email, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and meet strict daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Excellent editorial writing and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the business of sports, fashion, retail, entertainment and media
  • Proficiency in email marketing software (Mailchimp), media monitoring databases, web development software (Squarespace) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with VP of Corporate Communications on the global storytelling around Authentic Brands Group and its multi-faceted brand platform
  • Manage the weekly development and dissemination of the Authentic Newsletter to the company’s network of 10,000+ brand, retail and entertainment industry partners around the world
  • Collaborate with Brand, Business Development, Marketing and People & Culture teams to produce bespoke communications for key audiences and markets
  • Lead Authentic’s corporate social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, X and LinkedIn, and monitor real-time conversation to inform corporate response, tracking analytics such as follower growth, sentiment, engagement and impressions
  • Explore and present new and emerging digital opportunities to grow Authentic’s corporate profile on social media
  • Oversee drafting of internal memos, messages, talking points and Q&As as well as capture photo and video content on an ad hoc basis
  • Manage the corporate creative workflow as well as development and maintenance of corporate collateral and resources including the Authentic website and newsroom, key books and decks, sizzle reels and videos, branded assets and more based on the needs of the business
  • Collaborate with ESG task force to execute Authentic’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) playbook and drive the education, communication and implementation across the company and global partner network
  • Partner with PR/Comms and People & Culture teams to maintain Authentic’s corporate calendars, execute companywide town hall meetings and support enterprise-wide communications initiatives
  • Support the ongoing advancement of Authentic’s DEI initiatives as well as charitable partnerships, employee engagement events and brand PR events
