Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Product and engineering teams to help define our Crypto strategy and roadmap. Lead and execute the strategic initiatives to create new business and revenue streams to scale the Crypto product. Partner with teams across the business as part of the Crypto thought leadership team.
  • Define operational requirements (systems, process, controls, tooling, reports/monitoring, 3rd party solutions, etc) across the full crypto product lifecycle to deliver our roadmap.
  • Operationalize new product features while managing financial, regulatory and reputational risk. Execute key initiatives in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance and Risk.
  • Oversee a high performing team to reliably and consistently execute day-to-day processes supporting the Wealthsimple Crypto product within the CIRO framework.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key partners and vendors (e.g., data vendors, custodians, exchanges).
  • Help advance Wealthsimple’s position in the Crypto space by participating in industry events and building a strong network within the Crypto community.
  • Enhance operational risk controls to keep our clients’ assets safe, manage risk to Wealthsimple, and meet strategic and regulatory standards.
  • Support the publishing, review and continuous improvement of our policies and procedures in collaboration with Risk & Compliance. Ensure compliance with all CIRO and other regulatory requirements; support/advise on our regulatory strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an educational environment where the knowledge and performance of our team is continually advancing.
